Bethel ADULT CHOIR

The Bethel Choir meets to rehearse on some Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm.

Rehearsals and Sunday morning singing follow the church year; happening from the end of August to the middle of June. This ensemble contributes to Bethel’s 8:30 am traditional service.

I, Doctor Martin Luther, wish all lovers of the unshackled art of music grace and peace from God the Father and from our Lord Jesus Christ! I truly desire that all Christians would love and regard as worthy the lovely gift of music, which is a precious, worthy, and costly treasure given to mankind by God. The riches of music are so excellent and so precious that words fail me whenever I attempt to discuss and describe them…

- Martin Luther, Forward to Georg Rhau’s Symphoniae, 1538

“A music attends the things of the earth. To sense that music is to be near the possibility of health and joy.”

― Wendell Berry, The Long-Legged House, 1969

TENOBA

Tenoba is a lower-voice ensemble singing repertoire pitched in the TenorBass range. Most of the music we sing is acapella. All lower-range singers are welcome!

Rehearsals and Sunday morning singing follow the church year; happening from the end of August to the middle of June. Tenoba sings during Sunday morning worship about once a month in the 8:30 am traditional service.

The Gathering Band

The Gathering Band is a mix of volunteer and professional musicians who lead weekly worship during the 10:30 am service we call The Gathering @Bethel. Jonathan Carpenter leads the group.

“God is love, and it is the nature of love to create”.

- Madeleine L’Engle, The Irrational Season, 1977

We want to understand our lives and our reality in light of the Word of Jesus. We need help in navigating life out there. Worship helps us. Bethel has thoughtful worship, helps people see God’s work in daily lives, and helps us follow Jesus with words, thoughts, and actions each day.
